Role Overview
- The Technical Sales Specialist Medical supports the development and commercialization of medical polypropylene grades within the Healthcare & Medical industry.
- The incumbent drives innovation, collaboration, and technical development, ensuring high standards of product performance and quality of medical materials.
- The role involves selling technical products or solutions, providing technical support, and enhancing customer satisfaction through specialized service.
- The candidate should have a strong background in polymer science, particularly polypropylene, and understanding of medical product development and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Technical Sales & Product Development:
- Offer technical solutions and support to customers by translating needs into product improvements and innovations.
- Assess feasibility of new medical polypropylene grades considering technical aspects, raw material costs, and regulations.
- Lead development from concept to commercialization, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Support customers in implementing technical products and services.
- Develop product specifications.
Technical Support & Training:
- Provide expert technical support and training to customers and internal teams during implementation and maintenance.
- Assist with product qualification at customer sites.
- Analyze customer complaints and support internal stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver training programs on medical polypropylene products.
- Stay updated on trends and technologies in medical polypropylene applications.
- Support product development and identify opportunities for medical products with Sales & Business Development Managers.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee quality assurance processes to meet medical standards and regulations.
Person Specification:
- Bachelor’s degree in material science, polymer engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or biotechnology.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Knowledge of Medical Device Regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
