Job description:
The Engineer is responsible for the system assembly and integration of customer specific test system. The Engineer places Chroma instruments in racks and electrically connects them. It is also responsable of the installation of Chroma software and testing the complete system. The Engineer builds systems based on the technical drawings. In addition, is also responsable of the installation of the equipment, the cable channels and the installation of wiring in the system. Travel to custumer side to do installation and trainning is also part of the role!
Job Responsibilities:
- Performing electrical and mechanical work like the assembly of parts, components, electronics and cables in test systems on the basis of technical drawings;
- Conducting quality checks during assembly;
- Conducting final inspection and testing;
- Travel to customers to take care of onsite repairs, installation, give training or presentations;
- Repair work on already supplied and new instruments, devices and/ or complete test systems;
- Generating internal reports regarding the system building and service work;
- Creating notes for internal information and, if necessary, initiating follow-up by third parties;
- Team consultations with the development department of our headquarters in Taiwan;
- Drawing electrical schematics for systems;
- Support with customer requests on system integrations with our system;
- Support with software related questions from customers;
- If necessary, perform reasonable other duties in the interest of the company, in case of e.g.: sickness, extreme workload and other similar situations.
- Chinese language skills would be a plus
Candidate Profile:
- Completed education at MBO level or higher;
- 1-2 years experience in systems engineering is an advantage;
- Knowledge of the English language is a must;
- Knowledge of the Chinese language is a bonus.
