YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE

The Microbiology department, with a total of 45 employees, ensures that the daily sample flow is processed while maintaining high-quality standards. As a Microbiology Analyst, your main responsibilities are:

  • Independently performing microbiological analyses according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
  • Carrying out laboratory management tasks (such as conducting and processing control samples, maintaining checklists) and reporting any deviations to the Supervisor;
  • Processing data in LIMS;
    Correctly handling equipment and maintaining it according to current guidelines;
  • Keeping the laboratory clean and preventing contamination and abnormal Environmental Sampling Plan (ESP) results;
  • Being familiar with relevant Mérieux Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the quality manual in accordance with ISO 17025, and applying the rules;
  • Notifying the Supervisor of deviations and recording them through the improvement cycle system
  • Acting as a trainer for certain activities in the lab and participating in improvement projects, actively contributing to improvements;
  • The working hours are organized as follows: – 2 consecutive weeks from Monday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and the third week from Tuesday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

    You join the team based on a temporary contract for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of converting the contract to a permanent one at the end of the 12 months.

    YOUR PROFILE

    You:

  • Have at least an MLO3 level
  • Have several years of experience in a Microbiology laboratory
  • Enjoy working in a team and can adapt to changing situations
  • In addition to a highly stimulating position in a pleasant working environment, you can expect the following when you fill the vacant position of Microbiology Analyst :

    A full-time gross salary starting from 2 400€ per month, depending on professional experience
    A holiday allowance equal to 8% of the annual gross salary
    A full-time position of 40 hours per week
    An advantageous pension scheme
    A one-year employment contract, with the intention of moving to permanent employment thereafter
    27 vacation days per year with a full-time job
    A fixed travel allowance of up to a maximum of €140 net per month for a full-time job
